Epic Games Announces New Fortnite Season 3 Delay Chapter 2
At around 23:00 on June 3 (local date and time in Spain), Epic Games posted a statement on its blog, announcing a new delay both from the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3, and from the season 2 finale event,called "The Device". This is the full statement in Spanish:
Greetings, Fortnite Community!
The latest events are a stark reminder that injustices are still present in our society, from the rejection of the most basic human rights to the impact of racism both subtly and completely openly against people of color. We are well aware of the pain that our friends, family members, team members, players and communities are feeling these days.
We believe in equality, justice, diversity and inclusion; fundamental values that are above any policy.
The team is eager to move forward with Fortnite, but we have to make up for the season 3 launch over time for the team to focus on themselves and their families and communities.
The Device's live event will be postponed until Monday, June 15, while the season 3 release will run on Wednesday, June 17. We know that this delay has occurred just after another postponement, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
